Unfortunately, I missed the actual first week of school as I was out of town. I feel like I missed a lot. I have a copy of the syllabus, but I would have liked to observe Ms. Puma explaining it to the students as I would have been able to see what she emphasized. I started working on learning the students' names by taking attendance and figuring out where everyone was sitting (they got to choose where they sat on the first day). All the classes worked on an in class writing assignment for a majority of the week so there wasn't much teaching being done. I did explain the instructions for the in class assignment for one class one day because Ms. Puma had to leave early for a doctor's appointment.
